Wunan – Swimming the River

This animation was developed to communicate the key issues facing the aboriginal people of the East Kimberley. The style of animation was developed from an initial illustration by an indigenous artist, and we were required to expand on each area of this illustration via animation. The key to this piece was to keep the information clear and concise and stylistically keep it faithful to the original sketch. A stop-motion/whiteboard marker approach was adopted to emulate the artist drawing each part of the illustration as the narrative unfolded.
